- The PEZ
I started PEZ in Feb '02 because I felt there was a lack of "entertainment"
in the way bike racing news was reported. I was tired of reading
the same old race reports and not having enough insight to what
riders, managers, directeurs, and fans really think of our sport.
I knew there was a lot more to be said, so decided to "say
it myself" and started PEZCycling News, and my own vision of
what we really want to read, see, and enjoy about our sport.
The PEZ Philosophy
I think that bike riding about the most fun a
person can have, and I want to present articles, reports, pictures,
and views that are just more fun to read. A peek at a cycling website
should be a fun escape from the stuff that's pulling you in a bunch
of different directions - (i.e. your life).
From the first look at our site you can see the difference
- bold colors and graphics, content limited to a couple of good,
newsworthy stories a day (okay - at least what I deem are good &
newsworthy...). But I like to think we go deeper - so when you read
a story, you see we also take a serious look at cycling without
taking ourselves too seriously. After all, we're really just offering
up our own opinions on events that we observe.
We do try to achieve a standard of editorial "quality"
that you cannot find elsewhere. So I hope you read our stuff and
find that it brightens your day, and if you see something you like,
please tell your friends. If you see something you don't like, please
tell us!
Thanks for reading and I hope you continue to enjoy
our "entertainment".
- Richard
PS- We even got a few fan letters you can read here,
so we figure we're doing something right!
