The second Rocky Mountain Bicycle Show was a unique opportunity for bike junkies to get their fix of the coolest bikes and speak with the people behind these passionate creations. This year's show moved to larger digs in Denver and hosted three days worth of activities including an art show, bicycle show, kids demo area, and 6 day style track racing. Here is a look inside...

The event kicked off on a Friday night with ARTBIKE- featuring colorful personalities, exhibits and of course- beer by local brewer Oscar Blues.

The show opened its doors Saturday morning with a host of small custom frame builder's and other exhibitors displaying their most recent creations. As I walked around the booths, I overheard a blonde chatting about a 29er her husband had built with a 2" Chris King headset and BB30 out if titanium. She must be recovering from the Artbike party the night before, I thought, Chris King doesn’t make a 2" headset- Oops, I was wrong-

Sure enough, Daryl Roberts of Sedona, AZ had gotten his hands on such a headset and put it in a custom Prevail Form Cycles 29er that weighs under 22 lbs.
Form pulled out the stops for the show displaying multiple custom ti mountain bikes and a Revel road bike featuring Reynolds 953 stainless steel tubing.
Also from Arizona, John Benson of Sendero Cycles showed his personal touring bike that would make Billy Dee Williams proud with no less than 5 holders for 40oz. bottles. WARNING: Weight Weenies should avoid reading this next section -This bike, with twin top tubes, weighs 90 lbs fully loaded.
To add even more versatility to your bike, Sendero fabricates front racks to fit a 6 pack of PBR.
Speaking of beer, local favorites Avery Brewing and Twisted Pine added to the show's vibe with free local brew. Although most people at the show had to re-try the samples a few times to be sure, Twisted Pine's Raspberry Wheat took the Rider's Choice award and Avery earned an honorable mention for their IPA.
One of the lucky exhibitors who set up next to Twisted Pine was Sinclair Imports with the dynamic husband and wife team of Mike and Joni Taylor.
Sinclair had the latest Argon18 road and tri bikes up for show and was excited about securing the new carbon Stevens cyclocross bikes as well. The aero frame includes an integrated handlebar/stem/fork/headtube combo, 2 set of extensions, a brakeset, carbon brake levers and multiple stem and spacer lengths.
Being one of the few clothing displays at the show, the Taylor's were often busy with show attendees handling the updated Carnac shoes as well as the soft sports wool Retro Campagnolo jerseys. What looks like a winner for 2010 was the super thin tri-suit with an integrated chamois and back pocket designed by Campagnolo.

were proud to have the opportunity to show their passionate creations to the public.
Show sponsor Hudz was there with new grips for Campagnolo 11 and Dura Ace 7900.

Hudz also presented a new Elite cyclocross team with a pro wrapped team car. It's going to take some serious Mick Dundee driving skills to follow the likes of the 5 national level elite men and women lucky enough to be on this team.
Hudz took home the Rider's Choice award for best accessory and won a custom frame from Tyson "Big" Hart at Civilian.
Joe DePaemelaere of Primus Mootry showed off a few national championship jerseys earned on his bikes in cyclocross and Master's track events.
Katie Compton won a little bike race that ended in Roubaix on this frame.
Clark Sheehan ripped up the boards on the same PM machine Saturday night against other track celebs at Boulder Indoor Cycling.

Joe also displayed a colorful Deda, Easton and Edge carbon tubed frame with hand crafted aluminum lugs and BB30 that he made for himself.
Colorado favorite, Moots displayed a wicked snow bike that will come in useful for those in harsh winter climates.
A rising star in the Moots line up has been the Gristle, a mixed wheel sized bike that retains the snappiness of a traditional mountain bike with the traction and cornering of a 29er.
Courage returned to RMBS and took the Builder's Choice award for his S&S coupled brown touring bike, built for his girlfriend.
It features built in head and tail lights and earned him a custom pair of D2 shoes.
Coupled bikes proved to be very popular this year with builders. Last year's Builder's Choice and Best of Show winner, Ben from Argonaut Cycles conveniently brought a baby blue coupled bike with him to this year's show.
