TOUR’24 Stage 20: Pogačar Puts The Cherry on the Cake!

Another day, another Tour stage win for Tadej Pogačar. As if we didn't need more confirmation, the Slovenian won the penultimate stage of the 2024 Tour de France. Pogačar didn't attack and his team wasn't in control all day, but the yellow jersey followed all the moves and out-sprinted Jonas Vingegaard at the finish. Time trial win tomorrow?

TOUR’24 Stage 19: Pogacar Annihilates the Tour!

Tadej Pogačar... What can you say? With a nice lead and two hard stages and the final time trial on the menu, the yellow jersey could just sit back and watch the others, but that wouldn't the way of the Slovenian. On the final climb to Isola 2000, Pogačar attacked the other favourites, chased down the riders ahead of him and won the stage and added to his lead.

TOUR’24 Stage 18: A Cunning Victory by Victor Campenaerts!

Stage 18 was made for a big break day and we were not disappointed as the peloton let the escape take 15 minutes. From the break, Victor Campenaerts (Lotto Dstny), Michal Kwiatkowski (INEOS Grenadiers) and Mattéo Vercher (TotalEnergies) held the chasers off to fight for the stage honours. Campenaerts was the fastest finisher ahead of Vercher and Kwiatkowski. There was no change on the GC.

Tour de France Through The Decades: The 70’s!

Sunday July 20th 1969; that’s well over 50 years ago now, but I remember it clearly as the day that I first became aware of professional bicycle racing – I was 14 years-old. I walked in to the living room of our little flat in Kirkcaldy, Scotland and glanced at the black and white TV in the corner; the evening news had just begun and the picture was of a cycling track with the stands crammed to capacity.
