Past Saturday hundreds of people came to Circuit Zolder for the first Lotto Belisol fan day. The sun was shining all day long. Many had brought their bike and rode on the four kilometer long circuit. Of course everyone could meet our riders and staff. A visit to the team bus was possible and one could also admire the riders’ bikes.
At 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 a handful of riders made a tour on the circuit. That way young and old got the unique chance to ride next to André Greipel, Jürgen Roelandts, Jurgen Van den Broeck or Jelle Vanendert. Together with their colleagues they gladly handed out autographs and posed for photos with their fans.
The people that had registered beforehand got a gift from our principal sponsors. The National Lottery of Belgium gave a gift token and Belisol a bidon from their Cycling Landmarks collection, that’s a campaign about the ladies’ and men’s team. On the domain were several activities to do. At the Lotto stand people could leave a personal message for the riders and encourage them for what’s still to come, like the Tour. Belisol gave an extra bidon to their Facebook friends. If you played the fairground game of Telenet you got a gift from this sponsor.
The afternoon ended with a tombola, where you could win several fantastic prizes, like a VIP trip to the world championship in Florence. Also a flight in a hot-air balloon was given away by new sponsor Soudal. Thanks to all of this the visitors and the entire Lotto Belisol team had a nice afternoon together.
