Manchester Track Cycling World Cup Tickets on Sale August 1st

British Cycling, in partnership with Manchester City Council and UK Sport’s Gold Event Series, today announced that tickets for November’s UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Manchester will go on general sale this Thursday 1 August 2013. Last year’s Track World Cup in Glasgow sold out for all major sessions within an hour of going on sale. Fans are encouraged to book their tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Olympic Gold Medallist, Ed Clancy MBE, said of the event; “Manchester is the home of British Cycling and Track World Cups here are always something special for the home fans. I hope to make the team for November; it’s something you don’t want to miss.”

The event will take place from 1-3 November at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester and will be the opening round of the 2013/14 World Cup series. The competition will provide a showcase for some of the best track racing on the planet and will see Great Britain’s best track cyclists going head to head with a host of international cycling stars as they compete for international ranking points that will determine their qualification for the 2014 World Championships.

For the first time since 2011 the competition is returning to Manchester, the home of British Cycling and the highly successful Great Britain Cycling Team.

Tickets for the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Manchester are available for general purchase through Ticketmaster from 11:00 on Thursday 1 August 2013.

There are four price bands allowing spectators to choose between a premium view, value for money seat or standing ticket. People can choose their seat before they buy. Families and U16s can enjoy a discount on the standard admission price and there are hospitality packages available on all days.

More information about tickets, hospitality and the full racing schedule is available on the event website: www.trackworldcup.co.uk.
