Introducing The Roval Rapide Handlebar
Aero on the Leading Edge

Wind is the ultimate cruelty, and nowhere is it more keenly met than the leading edge of your bike. Leveraging extensive hours of WinTunnel testing, the newly designed Roval Rapide Bar cuts through the enemy with surgical efficiency, while providing the utmost comfort while hammering at the front.

Utilizing real-world feedback from our sponsored pro tour riders, the airfoil is offset forward to offer greater wrist, forearm, and knee clearance making it just as ideal for sprints and out of the saddle efforts. The bar also features a textured top surface to ensure a secure and comfortable grip even when wet, including a recessed step that sets the bar wrap flush with the tops.

In 2021 alone the Rapide bar has racked up over a dozen wins between Mark Cavendish and Sam Bennett, both of whom have been riding the bar.

Make your lightweight climbing bike more versatile. The Rapide is the lightest aero bar in its class at 225 grams providing all the aerodynamic performance without compromise.

Product Specifications:
● 125mm Drop x 75mm Reach; 2 degrees of flare at the drops
● Offset airfoil for optimized for out of the saddle efforts and wrist clearance
● Win Tunnel optimized for leading edge aerodynamics

C50 Disc and C37 Disc: Great Ursus Classics Have Been Restyled for Disc Brakes

Tangible, reliable, the result of a development process that has led Ursus wheels to raise the bar of its quality standards: C50 Disc and C37 Disc are two new carbon wheel sets for clinchers and tubeless-ready, produced by the company based in Rosà (Italy).

Together with the “TS” series, Ursus’s “C” wheel family has traced a furrow between past and future, establishing itself as the founder of the “new wave” branded with the distinctive bull.

“We decided to reposition C50 and C37, extending the range with their adaptation for disc braking systems” explains Mirko Ferronato, the CEO of Ursus. “The rims in the 37 and 50 millimeter Disc version are made of carbon monocoque with UD finish. The hub contains another feature in Ursus’s evolution process: namely RD30, a new pair of hubs with flanges for disc brakes that are totally Made in Italy.”

C37 Disc and C50 Disc are best for tyre sizes from 25 mm and up. In addition to the typical smoothness of the SKF bearings, customers can also opt for the superior performance of Ceramicspeed bearings.

The graphics on C37 Disc and C50 Disc are distinguished by elegance: reflective-look tone-on-tone stickers to match the colors of any bicycle frame to perfection.
Recommended retail prices (including VAT): C50 Disc €1,180, C37 Disc €1,100

Wahoo Revamps Popular ELEMNT BOLT
Updates include color display, expanded memory, and on-device navigation to this best-in-class GPS bike computer.

The new ELEMNT BOLT from Wahoo Fitness, the market leader in connected devices, boasts a crisp, color display, and expanded navigation features. Like all Wahoo devices, the new BOLT, available for sale today, maintains the easy to use, intuitive interface, and connectivity that makes Wahoo ELEMNT computers the choice of the world’s top cyclists and triathletes.

The new ELEMNT BOLT introduces a 64-color, high-contrast screen, making it easy to focus on ride data. The 2.2” inch screen is made of durable, scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. Now featuring Smart Navigation (previously available only on the ELEMNT ROAM), the ELEMNT BOLT automatically reroutes riders who stray from their planned route, lets riders change destinations, route back to the start, and retrace their rides right from the computer, without having to use their phone. An updated user interface offers customizable, color-highlighted fields to make it simple to focus on specific data metrics. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the backlight to make sure that the screen is always easy to see, even on dawn patrols or dusky rides.

The aerodynamic, low-profile body carries on the sleek design of the original BOLT. Quick View LEDs on the top of the screen provide turn-by-turn directions, signal approaching Strava Live segments, and provide notifications. With a 15-hour runtime and onboard memory increased to 16GB, the BOLT is designed to make exploring simple with millions of miles of roads and trails already preloaded. When paired with the Wahoo ELEMNT app, riders can easily customize their data screens, sync routes, and analyze data. BOLT’s waterproof body (IPX7) stands up to the rainiest rides or a botched creek crossing.

“BOLT has always been known for its sleek form factor, as well as its ease-of-use,” said Wahoo ELEMNT Product Manager Megan Powers. “We’re excited to add features that Wahooligans have been clamoring for, including a thoughtful use of color on the display, and Smart Navigation in a package that looks great on any bike. Like all of our ELEMNT GPS devices, BOLT integrates into the whole Wahoo ecosystem, whether you’re using the Multisport Handover mode to seamlessly track data in triathlon, or to control your KICKR.”

Since it was first launched in 2017, the ELEMNT BOLT has been embraced by road cyclists, triathletes, and mountain bikers, thanks to a sleek shape that’s at home on any cockpit. Like all Wahoo devices, ELEMNT BOLT is trusted for its reliability and intuitive operation. For the 2021 season, 11 professional cycling teams will race and train with BOLT, including BORA-HANSGROHE, Deceuninck-Quick Step, AG2R, Arkea Samsic, Alpecin-Fenix, Ale BTC Ljubljana, Rally, Team DSM, Cofidis, Trek Segafredo, and Team Twenty24. Some of the world’s best triathletes will also ride with BOLT including Jan Frodeno, Lucy Charles, Alistair and Johnny Brownlee, Heather Jackson, and Sarah Crowley.

Chuck Peña PEZ sez: “I have a more detailed review forthcoming but since I’ve had a chance to play and ride with the new Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT, let me say that Wahoo have up’ed their game and have a winner on their hands. It’s more than just taking the color used on the ROAM and “shrinking” it on the BOLT. I’ll just leave it at that for now as a “tease” to read my review when it’s up on PEZ.”

The new ELEMNT BOLT (MSRP $279.99) is available for purchase today at Wahoo dealers and at

La Fausto Coppi Officine Mattio Launches a Crowdfunding Initiative to Raise Funds and Save the Mountain Routes

The event has launched a fundraising campaign thanks to the “Bando Crowdfunding 2021. Nuove risorse per il terzo settore e la scuola” promoted by Fondazione CRC in collaboration with Rete del Dono. The purpose is to reach the minimum sum of 5000 Euros, the goal is to restore the alpine routes where the International granfondo from Cuneo, in Italy, takes place.

La Fausto Coppi Officine Mattio is launching a crowdfunding campaign in support of the project “Salviamo le strade di montagna” (“Save the mountain routes”), an initiative that sees the International granfondo in the front row for the recovery of the alpine routes on which the event takes place.

Together with 15 other Third Sector entities, the organizers of the famous international cycling event – which will start from Cuneo on the 27th of June – have been selected by the “Bando Crowdfunding 2021. Nuove risorse per il terzo settore e la scuola” (“Call for Crowdfunding 2021. New resources for the third sector and schools”), promoted by Fondazione CRC Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo, in collaboration with Rete del Dono.

The aim of the initiative is to increase the economic sustainability of Third Sector organizations in the province of Cuneo, in the North-West of Italy, and enhance the sense of participation from local citizens.

By virtue of this “nomination”, the granfondo has therefore started its crowdfunding campaign, aimed at the project “Salviamo le strade di montagna”. The goal of La Fausto Coppi Officine Mattio is to reach at least 5,000 euros. In any case, at the end of the campaign, the Fondazione CRC will double any proceeds achieved. The amount collected will be allocated to the mountain routes on which the international cycling race takes place, whose road surfaces, in many sections, are compromised by frost, wear and neglect.

The granfondo La Fausto Coppi Officine Mattio’s route is a wonderful one, both from a racing and landscape point of view: with its highest peak set at 2481 m of Colle Fauniera, it crosses the Varaita, Grana, Stura and Gesso valleys, allowing enthusiasts to admire alpine sceneries of rare beauty.

Thousands of outdoor fans, not only on their bikes, are passing through the trails and roads of the granfondo every year, so any help, bigger or smaller, will be super welcome and will be useful to restore a heritage that is not only for cyclists, but for all mountain lovers.
