Muc-Off Launches No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant
Countless awards and group test wins underline Muc-Off’s bike care and maintenance products’ class-leading quality. Every product developed by the category leader from the iconic pink bike wash launched just over 25 years ago to the recently expanded tubeless and puncture repair P.I.M (Prepare, Inflate and Maintain) range.
“Every cyclist knows that punctures can put a downer on your two-wheeled adventures, and they create a barrier for riders who are newer to cycling and scared of getting stranded with one. Our new No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant comes as a natural step for us following the launch of our Tubeless Sealant and recently expanding our range of puncture repair and tyre inflation solutions.” – Alex Trimnell, CEO at Muc-Off.
The new Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant is a proprietary water-based non-hazardous formula developed specifically for use with inner tubes and is compatible with a wide range of wheels and tyres covering all types of bicycle from MTB, e-bikes, commuter/hybrid bikes, road bikes and everything in-between.
The lightweight formula is easy-to-install and rapidly seals holes in inner tubes of up to 4mm with an armour-like seal and works on multiple punctures. The integral installation hose is compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves and comes with a clever Schrader valve core removal tool built into the hose cap. It also contains anti-corrosion inhibitors to protect aluminium rims, valves and nipple holes and bolts. The Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant improves the longevity of the inner tube and tyre and the formula will outlast the lifespan of both.
“We were able to borrow and adapt some of the existing technology within our award-winning Tubeless Sealant and B.A.M! latex inflator formulas but many months of research, testing and refinement went into this new product and we’ve achieved something we’re immensely proud of.” – Andrew Syme, Product Design Manager at Muc-Off.
Buy it: The Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant is available to purchase through Muc-Off global dealer network, select e-retailers (like Amazon here) and direct from www.muc-off.com for £9.99/$9.99/€11.99 RRP.
Further to this, many dealers will be offering the in-store set up service for a small additional fee.
Available now in EU/UK, launching in North America at the end of July.
Selle Royal Support Cyclists Getting ‘Back in the Saddle’
Comfort saddle brand launches marketing and social campaign to inspire cycling as a lifestyle choice, with a 20% saddle discount across the Selle Royal e-commerce platform.
The global leader in comfort bicycle saddles, Selle Royal, has launched a new campaign, ‘Back in the Saddle,’ across its e-commerce and social channels until the end of June.
The campaign aims to support bike owners choosing to cycle as an active and healthy lifestyle choice through promoting its key benefits:
Back in the saddle for the earth
Cycling to commute to work is an environmentally-friendly and sustainable mode of transport. Many cities, like Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Milan and London are currently introducing new cycling infrastructure to allow more bike users on the road – so commuters can feel good about helping the planet.
Back in the saddle for fun
In the midst of the extraordinary events across the world right now, people are discovering – and rediscovering – the joys of cycling and exploring new places on two wheels. Riding a bike gives endless fun, freedom and possibility at a time when it’s needed most.
Back in the saddle for your health
Exercise is proven to boost health and happiness. Getting miles in on the bike, whether a light or intense ride, is a great way to keep fit and get some fresh air at the same time.
Whatever the reason for getting on a bike in the first place, Selle Royal knows that saddle health plays an important role in staying on it. Their saddle designs put comfort at the forefront of the cycling experience, using extensive scientific research paired with over 60 years of market-leading knowledge.
Selle Royal have made choosing to cycle even easier by offering all customers 20% off any purchase of a saddle worldwide, including their Scientia, Respiro, Lookin, Premium and Classic ranges. The promotion starts on 16 June exclusively on the Selle Royal website at selleroyal.com when using the code ‘BACKINTHESADDLE.’
Searches for bicycle saddles on Google have actually increased three-fold since March as more people have been taking up cycling. But an uncomfortable saddle can hinder the enjoyment of riding, causing pain and even poor posture, whilst a good saddle will be doing its job correctly when you don’t even notice it.
Luckily, switching out an old saddle on a bike for a new one is an easy upgrade achievable at home with the help of a few tools. Selle Royal also has a unique fit system that helps cyclists find their perfect saddle to suit any type of activity.
The riding position affects how the sit bones meet the saddle surface. For each Selle Royal range there are different versions of saddles available specific to a customer’s riding position:
● Athletic for riders who are used to cycling at a faster pace, keeping their back at an even lower angle (around 45°)
● Moderate for those who tend to tilt their back 60° compared to the bike, to push a little harder on the pedals without overdoing it
● Relaxed for those who keep their back perpendicular (90°) to the bicycle for a more leisurely ride
Selle Royal’s Scientia range combines these different riding positions with the distance between the cyclist’s ischial bones, giving a saddle size precisely engineered to fit an individual body shape.
Additional saddle features also provide extra comfort: saddles with Selle Royal’s Royalgel™ padding reduces pressure peaks whilst riding for comfort across long distances, whilst saddles with a Slow Fit Foam mould to the body for an even distribution of weight. A recess or central hole in a saddle can be a good solution for those sensitive to friction and looking for extra relief.
The ‘Back in the Saddle’ campaign will be running with a series of social media posts and marketing communications across the Selle Royal channels at the same time as the e-commerce promotion, which ends on 30 June.

Join Scott’s Pro Athletes for a Week of Group Rides and Workouts on Zwift
There will be three stages, each focusing on a separate cycling discipline: Road, Tri and Mountain.
Zwift, the global online training platform, is partnering with SCOTT and their world-class athletes to bring SCOTT week to Zwift. Starting on Sunday 21st June SCOTT Week will bring together three categories of road, triathlon, and mountain bike together in a celebration of two wheels.
The series starts on Sunday June 21st for a celebration of all things cycling. SCOTT sponsored riders from all disciplines will join Zwifters for a one-off Group Rides on the London Triple Loops Circuit. More information on how to sign up to the ride can be found HERE.
Monday June 22nd will see the main three-stage event kick off with pro-led Group Rides and Group Workouts.
Stage 1, running June 22nd-23rd, will see Zwifters take to the SCOTT Foil aero road bikes. Cyclists from the Mitchelton-Scott Men’s and Women’s World Tour teams will join Zwifters on the Innsbruck Ring, inspired by the 2018 World Championships Road Race Course. “Having the SCOTT riders across the three teams is great to showcase the variety cycling has to offer,” says Amanda Spratt, Mitchelton-SCOTT Rider and current Australian Road National Champion. “The partnership with Zwift feels like a true celebration of all things cycling and I’m excited to try out the triathlon and mountain bike workouts.” The group workouts for Stage 1 of SCOTT week have been inspired by Esteban Chaves. This high-intensity workout will work on VO2 max power. Esteban uses this session to accumulate time at VO2 max power before entering a block of racing. This is a good session to work on FTP power.
Running June 24th-25th, Stage 2 is all about triathlon and will see Zwifters take to the SCOTT Plasma on the 2019 UCI Road World’s Harrogate Course. The Group Workout for Stage 2 is inspired by Alastair Brownlee. “As proud Yorkshiremen, my brother and I are looking forward to riding with people from all over the world and showing them some of our local roads on Zwift”, says Alistair Brownlee, professional SCOTT Triathlete. “I think the race on Sunday looks pretty interesting as well – being specialists in three disciplines already, I think we stand a pretty good chance to do well!”
Stage 3 will take place June 26th-27th and provide an opportunity for the mountain bikers on the Road to the Ruins course. Zwifters will once again be joined by professional athletes from the SCOTT-SRAM team in their SCOTT Spark bikes, including current UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Champion, Nino Schurter. The Group Workout for Stage 3 has been inspired by a workouts for Nino Schurter. “It’s been really fun over the past few weeks to have a chance to ride with some of the fans,” says Nino Schurter, SCOTT-SRAM team rider and reigning UCI Cross Country World Champion. “Bring your questions, and I look forward to sharing the experience with you next week.”
Closing the week will be a special cross-discipline exhibition race broadcast on Sunday 28th June. Featuring professional SCOTT athletes from road, mountain bike and triathlon, the race will be streamed live on GCN, GMBN and GTN. Each team will consist of 3 athletes, one from each discipline and include both genders. The race is 12 laps of Crit City, with points being awarded to the top 5 finishers in each lap, for both men and women as well as for the first five to cross the finish line. The team with the most points wins.
Participants in SCOTT Week will unlock the SCOTT Week kit to wear in-game.

La Vuelta and the Cervantes Institute Present The ‘Spanish-Dutch Cycling Dictionary’
The dictionary is one of the projects originally designed to be a part of the vast activity program surrounding the now-cancelled La Vuelta 20 official departure from the Netherlands (Utrecht and the North Brabant region).
La Vuelta, in collaboration with the Netherlands Cervantes Institute and the local La Vuelta Holanda organising committee, present the “Spanish-Dutch Cycling Dictionary”. This tool is designed for fans from both countries, and is intended to ease their first contact with the Spanish language, through a common love of cycling. Featuring illustrations as well as a pleasant and enjoyable presentation, the book offers a simple, practical way for fans and travellers alike to access the Spanish, and Dutch, languages.
The idea behind this “Spanish-Dutch Cycling Dictionary” came about in December 2018, as a result of a press conference held at the Cervantes Institute in Utrecht where Javier Guillén, General Manager of La Vuelta, and Jan van Zanen, the city’s Mayor, announced that La Vuelta 20 would commence in the Netherlands. Utrecht would be the protagonist of the teams presentation, the inaugural time trial and of the second stage finish-line, that would take off from ‘s-Hertogenbosch, capital of the North Brabant Province. The third stage would cross the province, with both the departure and the finish-line located in the city of Breda.
The project, which mobilised three cities and inspired an entire country, has been thwarted by the COVID-19 global health crisis. La Vuelta will not be departing from Holland in 2020, but this Dictionary, a Cervantes Institute idea backed by both La Vuelta and by the local La Vuelta Holanda organising committee, will still be published.
The “Spanish-Dutch Cycling Dictionary”, based on the idea of the Soccer Dictionary co-edited in 2018 by the Cervantes Institute in Shanghai and La Liga, wishes to be a symbol of friendship between Spain and the Netherlands and also a homage to cycling, and to the passion that unites its citizens. This book will be useful to have in hand when Spanish cycling fans visit the Netherlands and when Dutch fans attend La Vuelta editions in Spain and travel throughout our country – or through Latin America – in order to enjoy this sport. It is currently only available digitally and includes a practical glossary, along with illustrations, which make it pleasant and fun.
The General Manager of Unipublic, Javier Guillén, highlighted that this project “falls within the framework of one of La Vuelta’s main missions: to transmit its values all over the world”. “Ours is one of the most cherished Spanish sporting events, with the widest international exposure. We feel that it is our duty to transmit our country’s culture and that of our sport beyond our borders. This cycling dictionary is a magnificent way to do so and we are thankful to the Cervantes Institute for launching this initiative”, he added.
The Cervantes Institute is present in 45 countries on five continents, promoting the teaching and study of the Spanish language, while disseminating Hispanic culture worldwide. Its centre in the Netherlands has turned 25, having been inaugurated shortly after its creation in 1991. “We are thrilled with the work that has been carried out and are very grateful to our Shanghai centre for inspiring the model we have followed. We are happy to have successfully fulfilled this project thanks to the support of La Vuelta and La Vuelta Holanda”, concludes Pilar Tena, Director of the Cervantes Institute in Utrecht.
