What's Cool In Road Cycling

10 Days To The Revolution

10 days to go until the doors open on the first Revolution at Manchester Velodrome. With a glittering line up of stars including David Millar, Bradley Wiggins, Malcolm Elliot, Rob Hayles and Chris Newton audiences can expect an extravaganza of some of the best Britain has to offer. Both Hayles and Wiggins are going to be in absolute peak condition as they are currently honing their already near perfect skills at the Ghent Six day, in the meantime Millar has been training furiously and even took part in a track league event on Tuesday night in an attempt to ensure he is ready for the night.

Malcolm Elliot has been back on the bike gearing himself up for his ride in the pursuit challenge where he will be taking on Paul Manning, a stage winner at the recent Sun Tour and a member of the multiple medal winning British Pursuit team.

All the stars of the night will be competing in a range of events and it is beginning to look like we are going to have a fantastic evening of great racing. Doors will be opening at 6.00pm, both the velodrome bars will be open along with the Southbank Grill and a track centre bar which all ticket holders will have access to. Ticket holders who purchase a programme will also have the opportunity to win a fantastic Road bike kindly donated by Decathlon. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, don’t panic, as there will be plenty available for purchase on the night.
