A Year Without Driving Licence For Jan

The German cyclist who rides for Telekom, Jan Ullrich, has lost his driving licence for a year after being in an accident in his Porsche 911 whilst over the alcohol limit.

He was found to have between 1.4 & 1.5 grams of alcohol to litres of blood, the limit is 0.25.
As well as losing his licence he has to pay 70 days wages, approximately 666,000 Euros. The accident was on the 1st of May in Friburg, he drove his Porsche 911 at speed in the town centre, when he hit a fence and various parked bicycles, causing damage worth 1,700 Euros.
