What's Cool In Road Cycling

Asturias: Sevilla Still Leads

After yesterday’s mix up over who was in the lead overall, originally it was announced that Sevilla (Kelme) had the jersey, later Bayarri (Jazztel), all the first ten were on the same time, so not an easy job, well that’s my excuse any way.

To-day Aqua & Sapone’s Perdiguero showed his continued good form and took an up hill sprint, in front of a bunch which was split into two large groups, and they gave the overall lead to Sevilla (so far) because of his better placing, second: Bayarri, third: Beloki, fourth: Nozal, the last two both from ONCE. Rafa Casero (Jazztel) showed he is having a much better season than his brother, Angel, by making a good attempt near the finish, which came to nothing.

Tomorrow is the decisive stage, 170 kilometres of mostly up hill riding, that will sort out any more problems with the jersey presentations.
