Bartoli Just Says No to Roubaix

Michele Bartoli and Italian classics specilialist has chosen not to run the 100th Edition of Paris Roubaix this weekend, reported at his website.

Although originally slated to sign in at Compiegne on Sunday morning, Bartoli has changed his mind.
“That race requires a special preparation. If I want to do well at the Fleche Vallone and the Liegi, it’s impossible to do well also at Roubaix. And I want to say more: I don’t want to risk a fall and have any trouble with my legs.

He went on to say that he has found his best form in 3 years, and is not prepared to risk it all in a race as with as many dangers as Roubaix.
