Eluding controls, Capellotto is thrown out of the Giro del Trentino Femminine

FAEDO GRUMO, 23 June – Allessandra Cappellotto, 33 years old, ex world champion, has been excluded from the Giro del Trentino before the start of the final stage. Cappellotto, fourth in the general classification, was not staying in the team hotel, instead preferring to stay at her own house, but eluding the hematocrit controls carried out by the UCI in the early hours of the morning. This action has lead to her immediate disqualification from the race.
