Casagrande Suffers “Crashagrande”

Fassa Bortolo’s Francesco Casagrande has once again suffered a major setback – this time a serious crash at the Tour of the Basque Country has landed him in hospital with some broken some vertebra!

The team’s big tour leader had a similar setback last year when he broke his wrist in the first stage of the Giro. This time, he apparently fell hard on some train tracks and that was it – done!

One thing is now for sure, if Casagrande can come back from a morale – crushing incident like this it will be a true testament to his strength of personality and will power.

But how come the bad luck keeps dogging him?
