Doping: UCI Against Pantani

The justice process never seems to end. The UCI has presented an appeal to the Arbitrary Sport Tribunal that goes against the previous ruling of the Italian Federal Court of Appeals that decided on July 13th to absolve Pantani of the doping charges that have been levied against him. At first the Disciplinary Commission of the Italian Cycling Federation had handed Pantani a suspension of 8 months because of Insulin syringes that had been found in the hotel room of the Roman cyclist during the 2001 Giro d’Italia. This decision re-invokes the original suspension period.
