What's Cool In Road Cycling

Ferrari On Lance

The famous and controversial doctor Michele Ferrari, a doctor who advises a lot of riders and also Lance Armstrong, recently offered some comments on Lance’s training…

“I’m following him from 1996, before he got the tumor. He changed a lot after tumor. Maybe his weight, which is about 6 kgs difference, but also because he
changed his way of pedaling: he started to pedal with an high agility. With this change he transformed from a rider of one day races to a rider of grand tours.

He is the strongest rider at Tour de France at the moment, and for me he can continue still for 2-4 years. Even if the mentality he will be still strong as these years. His preparation starts in December
and he comes sometimes to Italy to talk with me about it. I hear from him also sometimes during the Tour if we need to talk about any technical detail. This year during
the first week of course he was a bit nervous but now he is more relaxed”.
