How Tough Are The Pros? You Decide.
We all know the life of a pro is a tough one, full of countless, endless hours on solitary training rides, pushing your body beyond physical limits you never even imagined, not seeing family for weeks at a time…
But even pros go above and beyond the rigorous call of duty, as illustrated so graphically in a photo we found in “Ciclismo Alfondo”, of Canadian US Postal rider Michael Barry taken at this year’s Vuelta.
Looking at all those bandages, one has to wonder why this man is on a bicycle instead of in a hospital bed… Barry retired from the race shortly after these photos were taken, and who can blame him?
