Inside Langkawi: Good Coffee
– By Al Iacuone for Flanders-iteamNova –
Today another one of those boring stages although Scotty Guyton my team mate did a good job by getting the early brake going on his own at 134 km to go. Later three other riders joined him but once again they were caught; this time with just under 2 km to go.
I really thought the break was going to be successful today certainly when with 50 km to go Graeme Brown went to the race-doctor because he was the stomach bug victim of the stage. Panaria started chasing but didn’t really get closer until Lanfranchi came up and told them Graeme was feeling better. Then they started motoring and brought the break back for a bunch sprint won by Brownie.

Tomorrow should be better, although it will probably be a hectic stage. Just 112,5 km but with three climbs one of 3rd and two of 2nd category. I predict this one won’t finish in a bunch sprint. So tomorrow I have something interesting to write about.
What starts to bug me over here is the lack of good coffee. So after many days of finding someone to have a taste in the hotels and hearing it was no good we were overcome with joy to find a good coffee shop across from our hotel. The team meeting was immediately rescheduled to take place there.
