Frigo Ready for Giro
At one week from the start of Giro, Dario Frigo won the Tour de Romandie. He won at Col d’Eze this year at Tour de Mediterranean, but at Romandie he showed the best performance. “I forgot how nice it was to wear and defend the leaders jersey. Winning at Romandie is a good omen for the Giro where I want to make a return match of last year”.

Shefer WINS at Giro di Toscana
Alexander Shefer won the 17th edition of Giro di Toscana, with 12” on the favourite, Paolo Bettini. Shefer spurted on last lap on the hill of Scopetone, and he kept the advantage until the finish. Bettini won the sprint of a group of 15 riders. “I was looking for the victory and I got lucky. I feared Cardenas, and so I tried to attack early”. Bettini said “I’m satisfied with second place and Shefer merits the victory”.

Pantani To Run Giro
The Italian Cycling Federation put off the decision about the disqualification of Marco Pantani, so he will run the Giro d’Italia. And they didn’t decide about the request of disqualification of 4 years proposed from Coni.
