Acqua&Sapone
The Italian team Acqua&Sapone has invested in cycling until the end of 2003. With a turnover of 500 millions of euro. “Many peoples talk about a new sponsor, as if that should save the team, or take back Cipollini, it’s only a speculative maneuver: nobody contacted us, and of course nobody can pay a team, without first listening to the objectives of it”. And as last word, Vincenza Santoni, team manager, “I want to remember that with
Cipollini we have a contract until the end of 2003”.
Lampre Daikin
A busy week-end for Lampre, Saturday 20 July GP Cittа di Rio Saliceto e Correggio and Sunday 21 July GP Nobili Rubinetterie di Borgomanero. We will see Alberto Loddo racing again after coming back from Sardinia. The young sprinter won the stage to Doha in the Tour du Qatar. He has worked hard during a 12-day training camp in Livigno and the next races will test his form. The other riders are:

After winning Giro d’Oro three weeks ago, Damiano Cunego has gained another victory at Villa del Conte, close to Padova, his second one as a professional rider. World Junior Champion of Veneto ’99 has been the real star of strategic tactics applied by Saeco- Longoni Sport team during this edition of Giro del Medio Brenta. Cunego attacked on the first climbs of the Rosina, with his team-mate Leonardo Beragnolli and the Dutch Wielinga. After several attempts, Cunego made his conclusive move, leaving all the others behind, one kilometre before the finish line. Just behind him there was the other Saeco-Longoni Sport neo-professional rider Leonardo Bertagnolli, the revelation of Gaggio Montano Team, managed in this race by D.S. Flavio Miozzo.

Gran Premio Camaiore
Next 7 August there will be the GP Camaiore, a famous Italian race, with a lot of big names.
