More Bad News For Jan

It was announced to-day that Jan Ullrich would not be in the Tour de France this year due to his persistent knee troubles and lack of racing.

This could be the nail in the coffin for Jan’s season which has not been one worth remembering. As if to pour salt on his wounds, it was also noted in the “not particularly politically sensitive” Spanish press that his friends from the disco the other night, when he had a little too much to drink, Evelyn & Melanie, were described as ”Selva Negra” , which translates to a definitely politically incorrect description (in North America at least) of the two ladies.
