What's Cool In Road Cycling

No Friere At Flanders

It appears as health problems will again keep reigning world Champ Oscar Friere from fulfilling his World Cup dreams. The 2 time world champion won’t run the Tour of Flanders. The Spaniard, 5th at Milan-Sanremo, has developed a problem with his left leg from overwork, so as a caution, he didn’t race at de Panne. Freire is already at home, in Torrelavega and the problem has not resolved itself. This isn’t the first time which the spanish champion won’t run because of physical problems. Last year he lost all the first part of the season due to a problem with his back, which returns periodically.
