No Tour for Vinokourov

No luck for Team Telekom, other than Ullrich, for doping, loses also the winner of Paris-Nice.

Alexandre Vinokourov (Telekom) has officially made it known that he will not be contesting the upcoming Tour de France, that takes the road this Saturday in Luxembourg. The winner of the prestigious Paris-Nice has been forced to take a break from competition because of a broken coccyx (tailbone) that occurred during a fall during the Tour de Suisse. “I don’t deserve to be put in the team – said the Khazak rider – I can’t even walk.”
It’s a heavy blow for the German squad that has already lost it’s captain and best GC rider Jan Ullrich for doping.
