Ruben Plaza Takes Spanish Road Title

The Spanish National Championships were ridden on the course for the 2005 Worlds, a distance of 217 kilometres was covered from the start town of Alcobendas to the finishing circuit in the capital, Madrid.

Alicante rider, Ruben Plaza of ibanesto.com won the Spanish road race chamionships from Rafael Casero (Paternina), brother of two time winner, Angel. In third place was Benjamin Noval (Relax/Fuenlabrada).

The time trial champ is Iсigo Chaurreau of Ag2R, he beat Kelme’s Toni Tauler over the 40 kilometre course by 46 seconds, and team-mate Mikel Astarloza (Ag2R) by 51 seconds, his winning time was 51 minutes 6 seconds.
