New Rider For CSC
Elite Spanish rider Javier Ramirez (Avila Rojas) has signed a 2 year contract with CSC-Tiscali. He is at the moment leading the Trofeo Antonio Martin, which is the top year long classification for amateurs in Spain.
New Bikes For CSC
Next year the CSC-Tiscali team will introduce Canada into the Pro peliton when they ride cervelo frames. They are to drop Look bikes it was announced, less French in the team all round.
World Champ For CSC?
It looks like Oscar Freire (Mapei) will be at CSC-Tiscali next year, or Quick Step. He will make up his mind soon, I promise! By September he now says.
Irish In The Pro Ranks
Mark Scanlon, ex-world junior champ, is to ride with AG2R team untill the end of the season, he is joined by Dermot Nally, who lives in the Valencian Region, who will be with Colombia-Selle Italia.
Angel For 2 More Years
Angel Casero has signed for 2 more years with German outfit Coast, he is said to be very happy there. Mind you, he should race a bit more now that his knee problems have gone. He is starting the Tour of Spain next week, so it should be good training for next year.
