Kelme For Ullrich? On or Off?

The Kelme team are said to be talking with the delivery company DHL as a sponsor for next season, as well as this un-named German bank so they can afford to sign Jan Ullrich.
Pepe Quiles, the owner of Kelme, has said ”nothing at the moment is shut”. Ullrich’s manager, Wolfgang Stronband, on the other hand has said it wont happen. Anyway big Jan cant race until march due to the little trouble in the night club/drug thing.

Vuelta News

La Vuelta a Espaсa 2003 has announced that it will start with a 30 kilometre team time trial in Gijуn. This years race also started the same way with a TTT in Valencia, which put the ONCE team in all the leading positions.
The presentation of next years Vuelta takes place on the 17th. of this month in Madrid, so our man in Spain will be covering it all for you.

New Team Signings

New Spanish team, Labarca 2-Baquй, has signed Cйsar Calvo from Relax, Marcelino Garcia from CSC and Leandro Navarrete from Kelme. The next rider to sign is probably Santi Blanco from ibanesto.com, who is still with-out a team for next year. The clothing for the team will be from Spanish company: Mavi.

Jimйnez ”I can return”

Josй Maria Jimйnez has said he wants to race next year, the 32 year old has been training in the Canarias and his weight is down to 70 kilos. He is to meet with his old boss, Josй Miguel Echavarri at ibanesto.com and if his reception is not good, he will talk to other teams.

Endurasport.com Gets Co-sponsor

New British tean Endurasport.com will be on Principia bikes next season and the Danish company will also be co-sponsor. Chris Tonge (team captain) has been testing the Rex SX frame that the team will be riding, said ”it’s the best bike I have ever ridden”. More team info on www.teamendurasport.com

More New Teams

It was announced this week that there will be two new Div III teams in Holland next season. Lцwik Meubelen-Tegeltoko and Fuji Bikes.
