Frank Vandendbroucke of the Quick Step-Davitamon squad was stopped by the police and has had his driving license revoked. The reason? The Belgian was caught while driving under the influence late Saturday night. The ‘enfant terrible’ of professional cycling was returning from a night of partying in Anderlecht when the Belgian police stopped him in his car at 3 in the morning

Vandenbroucke was given a sobriety test and it was revealed that his blood alcohol level was 1.7 p/ml. The legal limit in Belgium is 0.5 p/ml. The prosecutor in Bruxelles has suspended his driving license for an indefinite period and his sporting license for a period of 15 days.
