Zabel Again In Germany

Zabel wins his third stage.

The German rider Erik Zabel (Telekom) won to-days, fifth stage of the Tour of Germany, his third stage win in this Tour. Spaniard Igor Gonzбlez de Galdeano (ONCE) still holds the overall lead. Zabel won the bunch sprint in Friedrichshafen after 176 kilometres, beating Tutenberg (Phonak), second and Zanotti (Fassa Bortolo), third in a time of 3:46:23.

Gonzбlez de Galdeano holds a lead of 13 seconds over Garmendia (COAST) and 33 seconds over Steinhauser (Gerolsteiner) going into the sixth stage from Friedrichshafen to Obersdorf, a distance of 191 kilometres.
