Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottechia for the Tour de Berne
The password is: continuity & maximum effort.
The next appointment for Area Zero D’Amico-Bottecchia will be the Tour de Berne scheduled for Saturday, May the 9th. After the positive and challenging experience at the Tour of Croatia, the Italian continental formation managed by Ivan De Paolis will continue its season on the roads in Switzerland.
“We’re going to send practically the same squad that participated in the Tour of Croatia to the Swiss starting line, with the addition of Thomas Capocchi,” explains Sports Director Massimo Codol. “Some riders came out of that stage race in a good position. We’ve 100% recuperated an important rider like Antonio Parrinello. This race will feature a circuit to be repeated 5 times, which includes a climb that looks quite challenging on paper. It will be important to race carefully and see how the race shapes up. In any case we have solutions to be present in any situation. We have riders who can hold their own on climbs but who also have good speed skills. The guys are all healthy and even the morale is high, so in Switzerland I expect to see our team perform a good test.”
