Area Zero D’Amico to Race GP Lugano on Sunday
Sunday, March 2, Area Zero D’Amico will race on the roads of Switzerland in the 68th GP Città di Lugano. After the outstanding start to the season, with three podiums in three races, the all-Italian continental team directed by Ivan De Paolis and Andrea Tonti aims to perform at a high level and again make its presence felt.
“At Donoratico and Laigueglia, Pasqualon gave us two great results. Then in Slovenia Chinello earned us a spot on the podium,” said team manager Ivan De Paolis. “I’d say these are significant results for a team that is just starting out. We certainly realize it won’t be easy, and we’ll continue on our way with humility and hard work, but we know we can count on a young, strong and motivated team. Currently our team is ranked fifth in the UCI Europe Tour, and Andrea Pasqualon is fourth in the individual classification – not bad for a first-year team. In addition, we’ve been invited to participate in the GP Città di Camaiore scheduled for Thursday, March 6, where an extremely high-level field will be present, including 10 ProTeams. It will be a really good test for us. These are important indications that increase the determination and morale of the entire Area Zero clan. It shows that hard work pays off.”
