Romain Bardet set his stall out on Stage 12 and took an emotional win on a tough mountain top finish. Powering away from the other GC contenders, Bardet emphatically took the stage and the Strava KOM on the Peyragudes climb – https://www.strava.com/activities/1082104805/segments/26624038086

Averaging 36.4km/h for the stage and maintaining an average cadence of 90, despite the challenging gradients, Bardet proved the best climber on the day.
