Belkin keeps faith in Dennis van Winden
The Belkin Pro Cycling Team extended Dennis van Winden’s contract for one year, 2014. The 25-year-old Dutchman was out for almost six months after a surgery went wrong but at Belkin he will be able to complete his comeback properly.
“We once signed Dennis with a reason”, said Sports Director Nico Verhoeven. “Now that he suffered a setback, we don’t want to drop him immediately. We’re always looking to win but we’re a family too. We’re giving Dennis the opportunity to show us what he’s capable of.”
Returning to former level
Van Winden is pleased with the team’s confidence in him. He explained, “I’ve been out for almost six months and I haven’t collected any results this season. I’m very happy with a big team like Belkin, which gives me the opportunity to return to my old level.”
