Bianchi says goodbye to Vacansoleil-DCM

Bianchi thanks team manager Daan Luijkx and Vacansoleil-DCM team after two-year sponsorship

Bianchi is grateful to Daan Luijkx and the Vacansoleil-DCM team for the fantastic opportunity to partner together for the 2012 and 2013 WorldTour seasons and to add another page in Bianchi’s legendary history in competitive racing.

“It has been a remarkable and rewarding journey, more than a sponsor relationship. We really want to thank Daan and his highly professional team for the two years we’ve been together”, Bianchi CEO Bob Ippolito said. “We appreciated the opportunity to work closely together with Vacansoleil-DCM to develop and validate our extreme racing Oltre and Infinito CV models. The feedback we received from the riders and the mechanics incredibly contributed to the global success of Bianchi as much as impressive results like Thomas De Gendt’s stage victory on the Stelvio and his third place overall at 2012 Giro d’Italia”.

Salvatore Grimaldi, owner of Bianchi: “We want to extend to Daan Luijkx and his team our best wishes for the future and we hope to have another opportunity to work together. We acknowledge the Vacansoleil-DCM team provided Bianchi with an incredible brand and products visibility worldwide and we are confident we supplied the team with our best technology and expertise. Daan built an incredible team in a very short time and we are confident he will be return again”.
