Cunego will be the leader of LAMPRE-MERIDA in France

Critérium du Dauphiné (2-9 June, 8 stages) will be an important turning point for Damiano Cunego: a transition from Bayern Rundfahrt, in which he gave his support to team mate Malori, and the topic appointements of the second part of the season, as Italian Championship and Tour de France.

The expectations of Team LAMPRE-MERIDA are not focused only on Cunego, in fact sport directors Piovani and Lerici could count on the good shape of Josè Serpa Perez, who recently completed Giro d’Italia.
The same thing is for Kristijan Durasek.
In the team, there will be also Elia Favilli, Massimo Graziato, Andrea Palini and Maximiliano Richeze (they all raced in Tour of Japan), and Matteo Bono.

The duo of sport director Piovani and Lerici will be supported by doctor Pollastri, mechanics Carminati, Romanò and Viganò and masseurs Baron, Bertolone, Napolitano and Verzelletti.

“In the past weeks I trained a lot and in Bayern Rundfahrt, working in support of Malori, I had the chance to improve my fit – Cunego explained – I’ll be in Critérium Dauphiné pointing at two goals: I’d like to be in the top part of the overall ranking and on the stage classification, meanwhile I’ll focus my attention on the improvement of my fit in view of Italian championship and Tour de France”.
