Discover Apps Powered by Strava with Strava’s New App Directory

Strava’s new categorized directory of apps features 200 of the more than 18,000 apps that utilize athletes’ Strava data in unique and engaging ways.

Strava, the social network for athletes, introduces the Strava app directory, a new online resource for Strava athletes that offers a simple, categorized directory of apps that utilize Strava’s application program interface (API). With nearly 18,000 apps and products powered by Strava’s open source API, the new directory provides athletes with even more analysis, motivation and entertainment from their Strava data.

“In the past few years, we’ve seen an explosion in the number of cool apps being developed by members of our community using Strava’s API,” says Mateo A. Ortega, Head of Integration for Strava. “We created this directory to help our athletes find fun, useful and interesting ways to get more out of their Strava data, as well as to shine a light on these creative developers who are using Strava as a platform.”

Strava’s app directory categories include data importers, visualizers, prints, social motivation, charity, performance and training apps among others. The apps can help athletes meet new running partners based on your pace and geography, visualize your data in a wide variety of ways, turn your activity into 3D prints, overlay data on video clips, and utilize Strava data in thousands of other unique ways.

Strava makes it easy to connect and engage with other athletes and works with more than 100 GPS devices. Download Strava for iOS or Android and upgrade to Strava Premium to access even more features. To learn more about Strava, visit www.strava.com.
