DS Tebaldi hopeful for Brussels Classic, GP Fourmies

Two late-season semi-classics expect Team Colombia in Northern Europe in the upcoming weekend, on September 6th and 7th. Brussels Cycling Classic (former Paris-Bruxelles) and GP Fourmies will provide as many opportunities for the strong men in the peloton, and after a long campaign in France, Sports Director Valerio Tebaldi will lead the team again in the weekend, with an 8-man line-up also featuring four of the men that competed at the Vuelta a Colombia.

Colombian National Champion Miguel Angel Rubiano, Jarlinson Pantano, Carlos Julian Quintero and Fabio Duarte will be part of the team, also including Edward Diaz, Juan Esteban Arango, Juan Pablo Valencia and Leonardo Duque.

“I feel like we are fielding a strong competitive team for these races, and I honestly like our chances to do something good in the weekend, – Tebaldi commented – we have four of the Vuelta a Colombia guys giving us a number of options in the race finale as well as on the long run, while Leonardo Duque and Juan Pablo Valencia are in strong condition coming off the French campaign. Both races feature lumpy routes that could either favour the attackers or lead up to a reduced sprint, and we know those finishes suit Leonardo very well.”
