What's Cool In Road Cycling

Duber Quintero and Eetreme Tech Plus Triumph at Tour de Langkawi

The cool and unmistakable orange-fluo of Northwave Extreme Tech Plus flashed first on the finish once again, and this time it was a Colombian athlete raising his arms: Team Colombia’s Duber Quintero capped his first professional win in Malaysia, in Tour de Langkawi stage 1 (Porto Malai – Pantai Chenang 101 Km), soloing to the finishing line in great fashion after a long-way breakaway effort on Thursday February 27th. Quintero brought his Northwave up to the podium several times today, as he wore the overall leader’s jersey as well as the sprints classification’s one.

Quintero also provided the first win of the season for Team Colombia, whose complete line-up is equipped with Northwave’s top-range road model Extreme Tech Plus: hopefully the first on many for Claudio Corti’s Escarabajos!

Another Northwave athlete worked his way into the day’s top-10: Androni Giocattoli’s Kenny Van Hummel sprinted to 7th in the chasing group, wearing his Northwave Extreme Tech Plus.
