What's Cool In Road Cycling

Endura: Best Foot Forward

Warm, comfortable feet are essential for an enjoyable ride. Exposed to the elements and right in the line of fire of front wheel spray and mud, your feet are under constant attack throughout the off-season. With most cycling shoes designed to keep your feet cool and well ventilated, a good pair of overshoes is crucial to keep your tootsies toasty on those cold and often wet winter rides.

Endura has an impressive line-up of overshoes to suit any style of riding, climate, and weather. Here’s an overview of the new styles for this Fall/ Winter.

Cool: FS260-Pro Slick Overshoe – Packable Water Protection
This is the star in Endura’s overshoe line-up when it comes to packing size. It’s the perfect overshoe when you’re not sure about the weather, as you can easily slip the pair into your jersey pocket. Made from a waterproof and windproof high stretch PU body fabric with a taped center seam, this overshoe provides weather protection for mild to slightly chilly conditions. It opens at the heel with a reliable YKK zip and a silicone gripper finishes it off nicely around the ankle. Don’t miss out on the new and trending, eye wateringly bright high-vis green colorway (white or black is also an option). MSRP $42.50. Sizes: S, M, L, XL

Cold: Road II Overshoe – Insulated Waterproof Essential
This Endura classic has received a facelift and new graphics. The insulated Road Overshoe II is a best seller as this all-rounder can be worn from Fall through to Spring in cold and/or wet weather. Waterproof neoprene fabric with a welded center seam provides warmth and an excellent fit, while the hardwearing base adds to the durability. The Neoprene meets and butts behind the heel zip to improve water- tightness – this overshoe is as waterproof as anything with 2 holes at the bottom and one at the top can be! MSRP $49.99. Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Colder: Freezing Point Overshoe – Insulated Winter Protection
As the name suggests, this brand new overshoe is designed to keep your foot temperature regulated when it gets really cold. The Freezing Point Overshoe is made from fleece-lined neoprene to trap warmth inside and leave water and wind outside. It closes at the rear with a super durable and easy to use zip and Velcro® heel tab for a snug fit. The hardwearing Kevlar® base and stitching add to the longevity of this serious winter weather beater. Reflective logos and rear zip tape are strategically positioned to maximize reflectivity when pedalling, ensuring you are seen in low light. MSRP $69.99. Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

MT500 II Overshoe – Insulated, Durable MTB All-rounder
The much loved, iconic MT500 Overshoe has been a stalwart of the Endura range for a long time, and for good reasons. What’s not to like about an overshoe that keeps your feet warm and dry with the durability to withstand serious abuse? The overhauled MT500 Overshoe II still features a Neoprene upper, hard wearing Kevlar® sole and stitching, and a moulded rubber toe cap with ridged underside to help when climbing steep and/or muddy slopes. The rear zip, often the Achilles heel of an overshoe, has been upgraded to a durable, moulded Vislon version, ensuring smoother action and longer lifespan for an overshoe that sees a lot of mud.
MSRP $49.99. Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

Gaiter Overshoe – Waterproof Protection for Commuters and E-Bikers
The Gaiter Overshoe is the “go-to” versatile accessory for commuters and e-bikers as it does a fantastic job in keeping water, wind, and grit out. The added length gives that invaluable bit of extra protection to stay comfortable during your commute. This gaiter-style bootie with lots of adjustment is suitable for a variety of footwear and cleats, so you are not limited to cycling shoes. It is made from durable waterproof 3 layer fabric and features a robust 3 layer nylon sole, full length Velcro® closure at the rear, and elasticated stirrups. Reflective logos and panels enhance visibility for added safety on the road. MSRP $49.99. Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL
