Gazprom-RusVelo: GP Industria & Artigianato

“It definitely won’t be an easy ride” – Gazprom – RusVelo before Italian race GP Industria & Artigianato

On upcoming Sunday fifth of March Gazprom – RusVelo will compete in GP Industria & Artigianato. The town of Larciano in Tuscany will host the one-day race.

GP Industria & Artigianato will be held 49th time since it’s foundation in 1967. The route remains the same to the previous year edition with the total distance of 199,2 kilometers. The race will kick off and finish in the town of Larciano. The course has four flat laps of 22,3 kilometers followed by another four laps 27,5 kilometers each where riders are to climb the top of San Baronto – probably the most decisive challenge of the race. The final climb to San Boronto just 6 kilometers before the finish line will be the most suitable moment to attack. Hilly terrain specialists who are able to dominate the sprint from a small group have the best chances to win GP Industria & Artigianato.

Ivan Rovny, the rider of Gazprom – RusVelo is in upbeat mood before the competition: «I have just come back after Abu-Dhabi and already started to train for upcoming competitions. GP Industria & Artigianato has a certainly appealing route to me and I almost made it to the podium in 2014. I hope this year I will be in fine fettle to compete for the highest positions. It definitely won’t be an easy ride on Sunday, but we have good chances to succeed with our strong line-up».

Line-up of Gazprom – RusVelo:
Ildar Arslanov, Artem Nych, Sergey Lagutin, Sergey Firsanov, Alexander Foliforov, Alexey Rybalkin, Aidar Zakarin and Ivan Rovny.
