Giro del Trentino Melinda unveils its new logo

The beauty of cycling and Trentino’s landscape are the elements of the new logo celebrating the 40th edition, to be staged from April 19th to 22nd.

The Giro del Trentino Melinda opened the new year by launching today, January 1st, its new logo, marking the beginning of a new phase in the history of the well-established Italian stage race, as well as celebrating the 40th edition of the race, set to take place from April 19th to 22nd, 2016.

The new logo’s graphics recall all the main elements of Trentino’s area and its bond with top-notch cycling, featuring sketches of mountains, lakeshores, green valleys and sun: all the elements that compose the unique scenario that, year after year, provides the setting of a technically demanding and spectacular race, welcoming the teams and the whole caravan with its beauty and the warmth of its people.

The Giro del Trentino Melinda (2.HC) will repeat its successful four-stage format (one TTT, one medium-mountain and two high-mountain stages). The prestigious list of honour highlights the strong tradition of a race that is much more than just a dress rehearsal for the Giro d’Italia, even though many Giro del Trentino winners succeeded in claiming the pink jersey in the same year: Gianni Bugno in 1990, Gilberto Simoni in 2003, Damiano Cunego in 2004, Michele Scarponi in 2011 and Vincenzo Nibali in 2013.

Gs Alto Garda organizers are working hard to prepare the 40th edition, finalizing the stage courses and collecting the first teams’ applications: some surprises are to be expected.
