Giro d’Italia Stage 1 TTT

The Colombia Team will open the 2014 Giro d’Italia team time trial on Friday in Belfast over a distance of 21.7 kilometres.

The teams will leave every five minutes. The Orica-GreenEDGE team is the leading contender for the win and are the second team off and will be the reference point for everyone. The Movistar Team of Nairo Quintana sixth and Joaquim Rodriguez with his Team Katusha will come out fifth. Omega Pharma – Quick-Step (Uran) is the 20th team out of the start ramp, just behind BMC (Evans), Astana (Scarponi) 21st and Nerri Sottoli last at 19:35.

Friday 9th May. Stage 1: Belfast – Belfast, 21.7 kms TTT.
