Giro d’Italia wild card logo on Colombia’s kits

Giro d’Italia wild card logo to show on Team Colombia’s kits.

The new design of the team’s shorts will debut at the Giro del Trentino to stay until the end of the season.

A second pink adventure is about to start in less than two weeks for Claudio Corti’s Team Colombia, exactly on May 6th, when riders and staff will fly to Belfast (Northern Ireland) where the Giro d’Italia will take its official start of Friday May 9th. Once again, the Giro will be one of the key fixtures of the season for the Escarabajos, looking to make the best to deserve their Wildcard as well as RCS Sport’s trust.

From Tuesday, April 22nd, a new Giro-dedicated details will make its appearance on Team Colombia’s kit: starting with Giro del Trentino’s team time trial, and till the end of the season, the “Giro d’Italia Wild Card” will feature on the rear of the team’s shots, along with the #Colombia4Giro hashtag that gathered all the supporters of the team’s Giro d’Italia wildcard bids.

“We can’t wait for the Giro to start, and to do our best to fully repay RCS Sport’s confidence” – General Manager Claudio Corti explained. “Last year, I think Team Colombia gave a significant contribution to the Giro, not only in sports and competitive terms, but also by communicating and diffusing the Giro in areas – such as South America – where it did not have as much visibility in recent years.”

“We wish to continue our action as “Giro ambassadors” by inserting the race’s logo in an important and very visible area of our race kit. Such an initiative will not end with the race, but we will show the Giro d’Italia logo around the World in all the events we will take part in until the end of the season. We are proud to have been awarded a wild card for the second year in a row, and really appreciate the chance to wear this logo,” Corti stated.
