Gold medal for Yuraytis in Asian Championships

Baitleuva 6th in Points Race, good result for Dobrynina in Russia

Astana BePink Women Team achieved a great result at the Asian Cycling Championships, currently taking place in Astana (Kazakhstan), thanks to the young Yekateryna Yuraytis’ performance on track. The Kazakh athlete, one of the youngest ones on the team, excelled during the Individual Pursuit final, winning the gold medal.

During the final, the eighteen year old athlete stopped the clock at 2 minutes and 30 seconds: a very good time. As the Team Manager Walter Zini put it, “Yekateryna has been amazing and we are very proud of her. This result is really good and it’s definitely world class. Now we’re waiting for the upcoming races but we are confident that she will be able to do well during the Time Trial as well as the road race.”

The icing on the cake for Astana BePink Women Team came from Marzhan Baitleuova’s sixth place during the Points Race.

Good news also came from Russia, where Kseniia Dobrynina got fourth during the second stage of the Tour of Aydegya, a 128.9 kilometers long race from Maykop to Pobeda.
