Hansen and Poljanski join Team Saxo-Tinkoff as stagiaires

[01.08 07:23] Dane Jesper Hansen and Polish Pawel Poljanski joins Team Saxo-Tinkoff for the remainder of the season as stagiaires.

22 year-old Jesper Hansen joins Team Saxo-Tinkoff from continental outfit Team Cult Energy after showing his promising abilities as a climber on quite a few occasions, amongst them a seventh place in the GC in Glava Tour of Norway this season.

“I think it makes a lot of sense to give this opportunity to Jesper. He is an exciting rider that we have followed closely throughout the year, and he also joined us on a couple of training camps and really impressed us there. Jesper is a true climber, and I believe he has the potential to become a strong stage racer, which he also proved this year with a great result in Tour of Norway,” team owner Bjarne Riis says.

23 year-old Pawel Poljanski has also been given the chance to ride for Team Saxo-Tinkoff after some impressing testing with the team trainer Guiseppe Toni.
Poljanski won the U23 Polish National Championship last year.

“Pawel is another rider, we have been following. He is an interesting young rider, an allrounder, who can also climb. Our team trainer recently did some testing with him and got some impressive results, and Pawel afterwards confirmed his potential during a training camp with some of our riders,” Bjarne Riis says.
