In 2016 Team Katusha will Pedal with SIDI Sport
All the riders from World Tour Team Katusha will use Sidi Wire shoes.
The new season in major cycling will soon be getting under way, and Sidi is proud to announce that it will be on the feet of the riders from Team Katusha. In 2016 the squad is shaping up to be one of the strongest and most competitive teams on the international cycling scene.
Starting in 2016 Sidi Sport will be the official supplier for Team Katusha. As part of this new deal, all the riders on the World Tour team will use Sidi shoes, shoe covers and socks. Joaquim Rodriguez, Alexander Kristoff and company will be sporting the Sidi Wire model, which is the top of the line from the Sidi brand road collection. These will be made with special graphics representing the Team Katusha colours.
In the past several seasons Team Katusha has emerged to take a place at the top of the UCI World Tour rankings, both as a team and with individual riders. By carving out this deal with them, Sidi is vying to further increase and strengthen its presence in the group in 2016.
“For many years we’ve been collaborating with some of the riders from Team Katusha with fantastic results; like Purito Rodriguez for example, whose victories and charisma have made him one of the most outstanding men from the Sidi group. Other riders have also already used Sidi shoes before,” explains Dino Signori, head of Sidi Sport. “This formation has proven to be complete and competitive on all fronts, whether it’s in the great classics or in the three week stage races. In major competitions champions perform at the most extreme levels and provide us with important feedback on our products, which stimulates us to come up with new ideas and projects.”
