Jeremy Powers rides KASK, wearing KASK helmets and sunglasses

KASK is delighted to announce its sponsorship agreement with US cyclocross (CX) legend Jeremy Powers.

7th April 2016, Chiuduno, Italy – To many cycling fans Jeremy Powers needs little introduction but those not fully familiar with cyclocross can glean from the fact that, as the current and four-time US National Cyclocross Champion, Jeremy is an exceptional athlete. And he’s now wearing KASK helmets and glasses.

Jeremy said: “I am absolutely ecstatic to be working with KASK. From the beginning of our conversations regarding a partnership it was clear that KASK wanted to support our growth and vision to create a world class cross program. Having trained in both the helmets and glasses for the past month, the products are exceptional and I’m looking forward to representing them in the coming seasons”.

Jeremy combined a career as a professional road cyclist with top-level cyclocross racing for a decade, the fitness and race-craft from the pro road team applying well to CX wins. For the last two seasons he has concentrated solely on CX – which is his focus now with his own team, Aspire Racing.

Last season, Jeremy continued to make cyclocross history with highlights including a record fourth National Championship title, the inaugural Pan American championship, and the best finish ever by a non-European male rider at the Las Vegas World Cup in September. Now for 2016 and 2017, KASK will be with him at every race, over every obstacle and for every turn of the crank.

Building off Jeremy’s individual success in 2016 he will be joined by Ellen Noble, a graduate of Jeremy’s development program, The JAM Fund, and two-time National Champion and Pan American Champion. Having raced in every condition and on every surface, Jeremy and his team know what makes the difference when it comes to clothing and accessories – what makes a helmet comfortable, secure, light and protective.

Choice of Helmets
Jeremy and Aspire Racing will have their choice from the KASK range, including the Infinity and Protone models. Each has their own strengths and special features.

The Infinity is especially versatile and great for racing cyclocross as it is very aerodynamic and includes in-moulding technology giving him the best possible shock absorption combined with internal gel pads for optimum comfort. The inner padding is completely anti-bacterial and machine washable to increase hygiene levels and reduce the odor that builds up over a busy ’cross season.

The Protone has many of the same winning features, with highly visible colorways and 3D-Dry padding for cutting edge performance and comfort. Jeremy will have the luxury of switching between the two this season.

KASK Eyewear
Since supplying DRAPAC Cycling Team from January this year, KASK have received excellent feedback from the riders and will extend their presence into the cyclocross scene by also becoming the eyewear of choice for Jeremy Powers. This highlights the glasses’ versatility and durability demonstrating how riders can benefit from KASK’s unique technology across various disciplines.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jeremy Powers and Aspire Racing to the KASK team, and we’re excited to see his performances over the next two seasons of our current sponsorship agreement,” says Ylenia Battistello, Brand Manager of KASK’s cycling division. “Jeremy’s continued rise to the top of the cyclocross scene is undeniably impressive. It also echoes the continued growth of the popularity of cyclocross as a sport, which now transcends the continents and inspires more and more people to ride and to race. We’re delighted to support Aspire Racing.”

You’ll be able to see Jeremy in action throughout the season at events such as Cross Vegas, Iowa, US Nationals, and first up, at the Sea Otter Classic in April.
