Join us this Sunday for the HotChillee Training Ride #5
Where will you be riding this weekend? If you are in the UK you have the Bank Holiday weekend to look forward to. We’ve organised a special training ride starting from G!RO Cafe in Esher, UK. Why not join us and meet up with your old ride buddies if you’ve not been around or if you want to experience the HotChillee camaraderie and now legendary Ride Captains, at a venue with superb coffee and cake. If you’re new to riding and just want to drop in for a chat and coffee we’ll see you there. Full details below.
At the heart of G!RO is a dedication to cycling life & local community…We have gone to great lengths to ensure that we are serving up the finest coffee, the freshest food and cakes, all served by the friendliest staff… All of this combines to create the perfect place to come and relax, unwind in a friendly atmosphere in the heart of Esher High Street!
The HotChillee Training Ride #5 will be in the region 2.5 to 3 hours and will be a summer pace. Please note that the ride length and route are always weather dependent and the Ride Captains will use their discretion en route. The training rides are a good way to determine what Group level you are at and for newcomers to get Group (peloton) riding experience, as well an opportunity to meet the organisers, Ride Captains and fellow riders.
As a reminder The London-Paris group ride levels are (summer average speeds!):
G1 – 30+ km/h
G2 – 29 km/h
G3 – 28 km/h
G4 – 27 km/h
G5 – 26 km/h
G6 – 25 km/h
Riders normally assemble from 07:30 onward for a coffee, and many stay after the ride for a chat, coffee, cake.
Time: 08:00 (G!RO Cafe is open from 07:30 for a coffee – a great fat burner before a ride!). PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME.

If you are new to the HotChillee Training Rides, here are a few tips to get you started quickly!
Be the first to greet your fellow riders and introduce yourself. You will meet more people than you can imagine.
If you puncture, you buy your group a coffee (puncture twice, coffee with cake!). Moral of the story: never ride with old tyres!
The HotChillee calendar and all future training rides can be found here.
We have a few places remaining to ride Stage 1 of The London-Paris in one of the 6 seeded groups. Experience the full buzz of the full professional support and the challenge of riding the 160km stage and then having you and your bike transported back to the start venue. Click here for details.
