Katusha Team prolonged Alexander Kristoff for two years

Norwegian rider Alexander Kristoff will stay with Katusha Team at least for two more years. A contract, signed between the general manager of Katusha Team Viacheslav Ekimov and Kristoff, says the rider will be the part of the team in 2014 and 2015.

– Alexander Kristoff is a magnificent athlete and a talented rider. He revealed himself and is continuously developing in our team, so, certainly, we have the right to say that Kristoff is a Katusha’s discovery. Alexander is very ambitious sprinter and quickly progressive classics rider. We are happy that he will continue to improve as a professional rider in our team. We are counting on him in spring classics season, where he already showed his great potential during the current season, – said Viacheslav EKIMOV.

– I am very glad to have a possibility to continue with Katusha Team. I feel here very comfortable in the team. There is a fantastic, family atmosphere here, so I am really happy. I am looking forward for the next two years with Katusha, so, I would like to get more victories for the team in the future. Hope, to win here at Tour de France as well, – said Alexander KRISTOFF.

In Katusha Team, Alexander Kristoff scored 7 victories and 14 podium places so far, including recent 2nd place in the first stage of Anniversary Tour de France.
