Lampre-Merida: Coppi e Bartali
Diego Ulissi is going to come back to Coppi e Bartali, where he obtained one stage victory and the success in the overall classification.
The young gun from Tuscany will race after that he solved the health troubles that forced him to qui Milano-Sanremo.
Together with Ulissi, in LAMPRE-MERIDA’s selection there will be Matteo Bono, Valerio Conti, Luca Dodi, Manuele Mori, Rafael Valls, Luca Wackermann and Xu Gang.
The team will be directed by Simone Pedrazzini and Daniele Righi.
There are some interesting notes about the blue-fuchsia-green selection, starting with two seasonal debut: the one of Valerio Conti, twenty years old neo-pro from Rome, who was stopped in the early part of the season by a knee injury; the other debut is by Xu Gang, who had landed in Europe some weeks ago and now he’s ready to fight in the bunch.
Coppi e Bartali will be also the first race for Rafael Valls after the crash that forced him to quit Tour Down Under (broken collarbone) while he was realizing very good performances.
Bono, Mori and Wackermann took part in Milano-Sanremo: they’ll try to exploit the good level of fit they reached for Classicissima.
Luca Dodi will take care of joining the breakaways.
