What's Cool In Road Cycling

LAMPRE-MERIDA for the epic Belgian classic

Very good morale for LAMPRE-MERIDA in view of Tour des Flandres, thanks to the two victories by Modolo in Three Days of De Panne (6th April).

Pozzato, who’s the blue-fuchsia-green rider that can rely on the highest experience in this race, will be at the start in Bruges with team mates Bonifazio, Cimolai, Favilli, Modolo, Palini, Richeze and Wackermann.

In the team car there will be sport directors Maini and Marzano, who’ll be supported by masseurs Capelli, Del Gallo and Santerini, by mechanics Baron and Bortoluzzo, by driver Bozzolo and by doctor De Grandi.

“The experience and the skills of Pozzato in this race will be useful for allowing our younger riders in the path of improvement that they have been performed in this period – sport director Maini explained – The team showed to be better and better in each race and we reached the two beautiful victories in De Panne.

We all knew that Tour de Flandres challenge is more demanding but, if we’ll face it with the same grind, the same will to honor LAMPRE-MERIDA’s jersey and the same team spirit, at the end of the race we’ll be for sure satisfied.

It will be important to evaluate how the weather will be. Until now, we’ve been so lucky to race always in the sun, but for Sunday forecasts say rain, so the race could be more demanding and more uncertain”.

LAMPRE-MERIDA cyclists will race on Merida Reacto Evo bikes, with Fulcrum Racing Light wheels for 5 riders (Continental tyres special pavè, pressure 28), while 3 other athletes will use Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR (Continental tyres, pressure 25).
