What's Cool In Road Cycling

Lars Seier Christensen – It’s a Labor of Love

Saxo Bank has through its Saxo Cycling series with select Team Saxo-Tinkoff riders and personel celebrated “La Centiéme” – the 100th. edition of Tour de France.

We do that because our founders – Kim and Lars – are passionate fans of cycling.

As a fitting finale the last two films in the series, which has won two accolades at 2013 Telly Awards, feature the two founders of Saxo Bank – Kim Fournais and Lars Seier Christensen.

This final exclusive film is an intimate portrait of co-founder and co-CEO, Lars Seier Christensen, directed by Jim Piercy and shot by Fredrik Clement. In the film, Lars Seier Christensen reveals his attitude to work and implies the business really is a labour of love: “Saxo Bank is my life’s work and I don’t think I ever get to do anything else as exciting as this.”

He explains how Saxo Bank is made up of great people and a great atmosphere, and that a strong internal culture and clear values make the difference between a good company and a great company.

Lars Seier Christensen says: “It is a tough business to stay ahead in but I think we have a very dedicated long-term vision of things. We invest continuously in building great systems not necessarily looking for an immediate pay-off.”
